Awards and Plaques
As with any manufacturing process, waste is generated and needs to be dealt with. In many cases, waste from one finished item generates the material for the next finished product. Rustik Kreations tries to stay innovative and make sure that as little as possible ends up as solid waste. Here are examples of awards and plaques made from our excess materials.
This picture is of salvaged walnut, includes the quartz electric clock and walnut burl and gold pen. Size is 12″ long and 8″ high and 4″ wide. We have engraved the image of a fly fisherman casting his line with text. This would be a very good complement for any desk top and would serve as a functional award piece for service and acknowledgement. Each item is custom made in Cle Elum, Washington with no two alike.
Pricing for this items is in the range of $150 depending on
engraving, font and graphics.
re-salvaged walnut turned into Susan G Komen award
This picture is an example of re-salvaging waste. Walnut from urban salvage in the Portland, Oregon area had been used for finished building materials. The end cuts or fall off which is common to all projects is then re-manufactured into smaller finished items. In this case, we were contracted to supply the trophies for a breast cancer golf tournament in the Okanogan, Washington area. As pieces were processed and finished, we then laser engraved text and then paint filled the etched areas. We were very please and proud of the finished product.
