laser engraving on different materials allows for unique art work being incorporated into overall designs. This is an example of a small space covering a lot of uses. The design allows for the entertainment center to function for a variety of uses. Because of the tight constraints, a fireplace treatment using rock or tile was not an option. 
We also need to consider the support wiring for the entertainment system. Solutions were found in using removable bookshelves and laser engraved scene on hard maple above the fireplace. The end result was something very special and a center piece to this informal space.
Declaration of Independence on Cedar
The piece shown here was a custom applications for the Republicans Linoln Day Dinner in Kittitas County. It is a replica of the Declaration of Independence laser engraved on salvaged Western Red Cedar. The Cedar was obtained locally, dried and processed becoming a very good base for something special. We were very please with the presentation and reception of the peice and much more please with the winning bid. We hope the new owners enjoy this for many years into the future.

From bible verses to quotations to just funny saying, this can be a very creative means of communications without saying a thing and can be an inexpensive way to be very expressive. The engraved area is bonded to the surface and will not wash or wear off. If you have something worth saying, put it on tile.
