When our raw logs start the processing stage, they are carefully looked over to determine how pieces will be obtained and what and how those pieces will likely end up as finished goods. In some cases, the logs are cut into kants for drying and processing at a later date.
In a few cases, the cuts indicate that something special will be achieved and work will continue toward that product. In some cases, a log will have those special characteristics allowing it to be presented as a focal point within a setting. The picture shown here was such a log which ended up as a center piece in this home.
While we can not represent that all of our products are of salvaged or reclaimed raw materials, a good percentage falls into this category. If this is important please let us know and we can provide as much information as we have on the origin of the logs or timbers.

Ladder and loft railing in Blue Pine
We are always looking at new ideas and innovative ways for manufacturing special items with each piece taking on its own form. Recently we were ask to provide a loft railing system to match a ladder. The results were so interesting that we will be adding this to our product line. Let us know if your future projects might have a need for unique railings in pine or fir.
